Übersicht

Das Fotomodell Istephanija Munito wurde in den 1980er Jahren in Kolumbien geboren; sie arbeitete für die Model-Site Ebina Models (EM), wo sie rasch zu einem der beliebtesten Modelle avancierte – eine eindrucksvolle Leistung bei Konkurrenz von über 200 Modellen aus 17 Ländern. Als»Belohnung« für den enormen Erfolg bekam Istephanija eine eigene Website spendiert, auf der sich mittlerweile über 6.000 Bilder von ihr befinden.

Interessant an den Fotoserien mit Istephanija ist weniger die fototechnische oder künstlerische Qualität der Aufnahmen, als vielmehr die konsequente Umsetzung einer geradezu konzeptionellen Idee: Auf den Fotografien, die angeblich »von einem guten Freund« aufgenommen worden sein sollen, trägt Istephanija eine Augenbinde (engl. blindfold). Systematisch könnte man die Fotografien daher auch der Fetish-Fotografie zurechnen, allerdings würde man damit der Idee wohl nicht gerecht werden. Irgendwie scheint die Idee jedenfalls zu wirken; so soll The Sun Hong Kong beispielsweise geschrieben haben, dass jeder zweite japanische Mann mit Istephanija Munito verheiratet sein wolle.

Über ihre Aufnahmen mit Augenbinde sagt sie:

»I'm Istephanija and I'm from Colombia. There are many beautiful women from my country. I am Ebina's biggest blindfold model! I couldn't believe the idea when I heard it, but once I tried it, I loved it! It is so crazy and exhilarating to be shot in with a blind fold on. I think the pictures look great and I turn myself on when I look at them. From what my fans tell me they can't get enough of it! I have over 1000 members and there are over 6000 pictures of me! Most of the photos were taken by my best friend.

It's a pretty cool hobby to do in our spare time. I like to receive emails from fans asking me for specific kinds of photos. Its great being able make them happy. If my family would know about my modelling they would dis-own me. Thank god that i wear a blindfold!«
